All youth must have a current consent form filled out to participate in our outings.

I want to congratulate all who participated in the 42nd annual Teeter Totter Marathon. There were several students who worked almost the entire marathon! I also want to thank Emily and Jackie for contacting their National Honor Society students to come help out. The addition of these students really helped during some of our slimmest hours. Of course, I want to thank everyone who brought friends with them! We couldn’t do it without everyone’s help!!!! I’ve spent the last six Teeter Totter Marathons as your Youth Leader and overnight chaperon, and I have to admit, it takes me about a week to recover from the lack of sleep, but I have enjoyed watching all of you grow in your commitment to service to others. You all come to have fun, but you are also aware of the greater good that happens during TTM weekend. So far, we have collected over $8,380 – donations are still pouring in, and I will keep you posted on our progress.

As it is starting to warm up (a little) it makes me think about what we are going to do this Spring, and how we will finish off the school year.

In March the Jeremiah Project will conclude. The meeting dates still to come are: 3/11 – Mission & Vision Wrap-up, 3/17 (Saturday)- Church-wide Mission & Vision Report-Out Meeting.

  • March 18 – Pretzel Sunday! All youth should wear their Youth T-shirts. For those of you who are new to MHCUCC, every year, we make home made pretzels during the church service, and “sell” them for a free will offering that goes to One Great Hour of Sharing. Please report directly to Fellowship Hall at 10:30 am.  We will have donuts for you that morning.
  • Sunday, March 25 – Palm Sunday, All Youth in Worship
  • March 27 – Escape Room at Strongsville Mall – we will meet at Southpark Mall at 6, rides can pick you up at 9 pm.  We’ll start at the Escaper Room at 6 and then head to Mitchell’s ice cream. Please RSVP to me!
  • April 1 – Easter Sunday, All Youth in Worship
  • April 8 – All Youth in Church School
  • April 15 – Breakfast Bunch
  • April 29 – Middleburg Missionaries Sunday. The Youth Group will be in charge of a project. We will be teaching members of the congregation how to use their smart phones! Please make an effort to attend this service opportunity. It gives the congregation members and the teens the opportunity for intergenerational interaction!

If you have any questions or suggestions for activities, please let me know.
