Breakfast Bunch

Good conversation and blessings happen when we cook and eat together. The Middle School and High School classes did just that: we made scrumptious pancakes, homemade cinnamon rolls, and bacon for our monthly breakfast on November 17. Everyone was a chef for the day! Our next breakfast is Sunday, December 15. How does gingerbread and bacon sound? Perhaps we will also add eggs in a hole! Take a look at our photos below!

Youth Interns

It is my pleasure to introduce our first MHCUCC Youth Interns: Austin Nye and Halina Tri-Leanza. Austin and Halina, who were confirmed this spring, will serve as a youth advisory board for the Youth Ministry team. Using their experience in the confirmation process, Austin and Halina will offer advice on how to make programming more relevant to their generation as well as to serve as youth leaders for discussions and activities involving middle school and high school students.

I asked both of them to introduce themselves. Their messages are below.

Blessings,
Judy Hammer, Youth Ministries Coordinator

Hello, my name is Austin Nye. I live in Strongsville and go Strongsville High School. My favorite things to do are basketball, playing drum set, and camping. I have been going to the Middleburg Heights Community United Church of Christ since I was a kid. I was confirmed this summer. I hope to go to Baldwin Wallace and major in American History. One day I wish to be a history professor at a very nice college.

Hello, I am Halina Tri-Leanza, and I am a sophomore at North Royalton High School. I am involved in Kiwanis Club, marching band, track, and am a Science Olympiad at my school. In my free time, I enjoy reading, volunteering, and hiking with my dog.
